Vintage original 24 x 24" (60x 60 cm.) window card-type poster, USA. Warner Brothers studios, creators of the characters in the Looney Tunes animation division, seemingly never made individual personality posters of their famous stars. So, a local theatre chain created this vibrant, nearly day-glo print to advertise their featured star characters.

Bugs made his film debut in 1940 and was voiced by Mel Blanc from that time through 1989. Though his official debut is credited to Tex Avery and the 1940 Academy Award-nominated A Wile Hare, he had been in a state of creation for some two years before included as Porky Pig's co-star in 1938's Porky's Hare Hunt. Bugs went through some revamps in appearance and character and by the late-1940s had become the personality we know him as to this day.

At this time he was appearing in Haredevil Hare. Poster does not appear to have been displayed but there are three light creases that run the length of the poster about 3" (7 cm.) down from the top and a crease near the bottom left side of the poster, some light creasing and minor staining to the lower left corner, NEAR FINE.
